Telling users when their BFL data needs updating

The problem

Local planning authorities are required to update their brownfield land datasets by 31 December each year. It’s important for us to remind LPAs about this, so they don’t forget.

What we did

On the LPA dashboard, we thought about using tags, the notification banner (GDS), and additional content to let users know about the requirement.

We took our ideas to an internal design crit, and received some useful feedback from the wider team. This is available in a Mural board.

Outcomes

We’ve designed the iteration, which is now live in the service. No outcomes yet.

Future iterations

Future iterations may include using the task list to display the requirement about the date.
