We’ve designed a simplified version of the service so that:
- we can deliver value more quickly to users
- get user feedback based on real data
How it works
The user will be sent an email with a link to the service.
Clicking the link takes the user to the start page.
Clicking ‘start now’ takes the user to a page to choose the dataset they want to check.
The options are:
- Article 4 direction dataset
- Conversation area dataset
Once they choose a dataset, they can upload their data.
The file must be as CSV, GeoJSON, GML or Geopackage file.
Once they upload their file, the data will be checked to see if it meets the requirements.
If there are errors, the user will be shown a page containing the list of errors.
If there are no errors, the user is told that the checks have passed.
Clicking ‘Continue’ takes the user to a page explaining what they need to do next.
It contains:
- instructions to send us an email with a link to their webpage
- guidance about what the webpage needs to include
- a link to give feedback
The link to give feedback will take users to a form to give feedback.
The phase banner also has a link to give feedback at the top of every page.
The footer includes:
- an email address to get help
- a link to the accessibility statement
- a link to the privacy notice
